First blog. :-D "Ello Lovelies" :*)

Sep.4.10

Hi there!! This is my blog, "WholeLottaSweetLove" I recently made here on blogger. It's a blog with mainly history & short bios [included with pictures,] of icons from mostly the 1960s and the 1970s. This blog is for fans of anything from that time period. or for people who want to learn more.  I've been really inspired with the 60s/70s culture my whole life.. but, I don't know how! I think it was the music that drew me towards all this.. When I was young, (in the early 2000's) I would always here a variety of Beatles songs, from radios and T.V, mostly the Vh.1 Classic station which my family had in the early years of my life before kindergarten. I can thank my sister for putting that channel on..I herd the beat pychedelic rock tunes of the sixties, swinging from The Beatles "I Want To Hold Your Hand" to The Doors "Hello, I Love You". I also herd the hard rock of artist, raging from Black Sabbath's "Crazy Train" and Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog". I also herd the beautiful pop harmonies from ABBA. I still remember my eyes being glued on the teli when they showed the promo for "Dancing Queen", I also herd Queen's classics, such as "Bohemian Rhapsody" and David Bowie's "Space Oddity" (I know it was 1969 when it released, thank you very much!). Those where 70s artist tunes I heard.. And the 80s brought new sounds, although I am not so crazy about 80s music that much anymore. I loved "Come On Eileen" to The Police's "Roxanne" and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart." and  others... And the 90s. I didn't dig it that much even though THAT was the period I was born in. But I'm getting found of Mazzy Star's music, and Nirvana.
And when I was eight, I dug that terrible computer junk of the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana. I just did it because I didn't fit in, not because I like the music.. But I took a full different turn. I came back to the beloved 60s and 70s music. I went to the Hard Rock Caff`e  when I was eight. I looked at all those guitars... All those pictures.. Those videos on those flat screens that some how came from the ceiling that seemed familiar to me... And I think I cried a bit, because the music related to me, and I loved it, I thought it was amazing, I thought it was beautiful.. And when I came home, I threw away that Hannah Montana CD, and went on the computer to find out and learn about these artists. I remember looking up "The Beatles" and printing out a picture of them. And I went on Youtube, found out about there early stuff, and read everything word about them on Wikipedia. I had trouble mixing them up, I thought they all looked the same, and I fell madly in love with Beatle John Lennon. I listened to solo work of theirs, too after The Beatles separated. I saw the picture of them siting in the same garden where "Rain" and "Paperback Writer" where shot in 1966. And the next night after coming home from Publix, I herd "Something". I was eager to learn more about them. And learn more about other artists that where around at that time, and even a decade later from the 60s.

And after that night to this exact moment, is when I became a lover of 60s music. This is the real story of how I got into this time period. I've listened to artist of today and not many have captured my attention besides "Ra Ra Riot" Kate Nash, "Florence and the Machine" and a few others. I hope to share this who feels the same way about music from such a time.. Sorry for my life story on how I started to love this music. (: This is the last time.

But. This isn't only about musicians, really. It's a bunch o different things...
My next blog isn't quite bloged about a rock star from that times, but his muse and true love.. Please stay tuned if you'd like. (:

Peace, Love, Hope, Luck, and Happiness to you!! <3 :D
