Long Legged Child

Anni-Frid Syni Lyngstad (commonly known as "Frida") was born on November 15h, 1945 in Ballangen Bjørkåsen, Norway, is a Swedish singer. She is known as being the "burnette" or "red head" of the Swedish pop/rock group, ABBA. She is the woman who sand lead vocals on their hits like "Fernando", "Super Trooper", "Money, Money, Money", "I Have A Dream" and "Knowing Me, Knowing You". ABBA is the 4th best selling band, and has sold 365 million records. They have outsold several countries with spawning albums and singles,  where the Beatles have never sold.
Frida was the daughter of a married German soldeir, Alfred Hasse, and teenage Syni Lyngstad in wartime Norway. Births like Frida's where unwanted to the Norwegian community, scince these children where projects of Hitler, making them known as the Lesborn children, who where seperated from mothers after birth. When Syni was pregnent with Frida, Alfred had left to go back on his ship to Germany. Frida would later on think that her father would die in a ship wreck during his return to Germany, until 1977, when Frida met her father for the first time at 32 years old. Her grandmother thought that it might have been better if they moved out of Sweden to a much safer place, and so they moved to Sweden, Norways neighbor. The Lyngstad's easily adopted to their life in Sweden, and things where working out smoothly. Frida's mother had a job, and her grandmother did too. Things seemed to be much brighter and happier, intil one day, in 1946 when 21 year old Syni Lyngstad, colapsed on the floor. She was taken to the hospital, but there was nothing any one could do. She died on September 28th, 1946. Frida was just a year old, and she would grow up with her grandmother raising her.
Frida was a very inteligent, and independent girl. She would check out 10 books a week from the libary. Frida was intrested in music at a very early age. She started to first to play the piano, and then started singing. The young girl became known for her beautiful voice, and was even asked by the teachers to sing for the class on Fridays. From an early age, she knew that she had wanted to bacome a singer. And that she did.
Frida raised a family of her own, when she was 17. She got married to Ragnar Fredrickson, a muscician and furniture seller. The couple had two children, Hans (born 26 January 1963) and Ann Lise-Lotte "Lotta" (born 5 February 1967 - 13 January 1998, died from serious injuries in a car crash in the U.S where she lived for years at 30). They separated early in 1969 and were officially divorced on 19 May 1970. On the very same day, Lyngstad's grandmother, Arntine, died, aged 71. Frida met Hep Stars (the Swedish "Bealtes")organist, Benny Andersson, in mid 1969, when she was seperated from her husband. Benny would also become the other half of ABBA.  The where engaged in August 1969, but where married in 1978. They sadly divorced in 1981, a year before ABBA's break up. Frida married a German nobleman who was five years her junior - the late architect Prince Heinrich Ruzzo Reuss of Plauen (24 May 1950 – 29 October 1999), on August 26th, 1992. They would remain married until his death in 1999.
During the ABBA years, Frida was known as the "burnette" or the "redhead" of the two ABBA girls. She was the one who truly enjoyed touring, and meeting the audience and fans one-on-one. Frida is also the only ABBA member who regrets there never being a reunion. Frida  also took part in co-designing the famous ABBA costumes. She had a very wild taste in style, and her hairstyle was often changed.  She was very energetivc onstage, and has enjoyed it. But Frida also delt with depression, mainly due to being away from her children.
After ABBA, Frida released her third solo album "Somethings Going On" in 1982. The album was prodeuced by Genesis drummer and sing, Phil Collins. The album became a big hit, (selling 1.5 million copies) and the single "I Know There's Something Going On", a heavy rock track, was praised and sold 3.5 million copies worldwide and is the best selling solo record for any of the four former Abba members. Frida had another solo album, "Shine" in 1984, but it only did fair. Frida stopped making music until her comeback with her album "Djupa andetag" (meaning Deep Breaths) in 1996.
Recently, Frida has recorded her own version of "Morning Has Broken" in  September 2010. This was for Georg Wadenius's album "Reconection". Frida is now mainly involved in charity work, and also environmental protection. She is also a vegetraian. Frida also attends ABBA related events. In March, she came to the US for ABBA's induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with Benny Andersson. She now lives in Zermatt, Switzerland, and has a happy, peaceful life. She is my favorite ABBA member, and she seems like such an upright, humble, nice, and funny person with a heart. She is also a very strong woman. Here are some "thru the years" pictures of Frida. :)

She Lives On Love Street...

Pamela Susan Courson (b. December 22, 1946 – April 25, 1974) was the long term companion, common-law wife and muse or rock singer Jim Morrison, vocalist of 1960s rock group The Doors. Pamela had a relationship with Jim from 1965, and until his death in Paris in 1971.

Pamela was born in Weed, Califronia and left her hometown at nineteen. She and her friend soon bought an apartment in Los Angelous during the spring. It is not necesarily clear on how Pam met Jim, although it has been rumoured that she met him  at a nightclub on the Sunset Strip, but Ray Manzarek claims the Pamela and a friend went to go see the Doors play at the London Fog. Her relationship with Morrison was very tumultuous, and had an "open relationship". Although they had affairs with others and fights, they still loved each other and always came back to each other.

Pam owned a shop called Themis, and it was a botique that Jim had bought for her. The botique was opend at very odd times. Pamela's death certificate has her occupation down under as "womens apparel".

On the night of July 2nd 1971, Pam and Jim went to see a film. After the movie, they returned to their apartment in Paris. Jim went to bed and awoke sometime later coughing and complaining of chest pains. He then decided to take a bath. At approximatley 5:00 a.m. on July 3, 1971, Pamela found Jim dead in their bathroom.

Three years after, April 25, 1974, Pamela sadly died from a Heroin overdose in  a Hollywood appartment. Pamela was devastated after Jim's death, and showed signs of mental instability. Pam was supost to be burried in France with Jim, although there was to much red tape involved in transporting a body to a foreign country for burial. Her parents had her cremated remains buried at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California.

I think that Pam was the one for Jim. He loved her a lot, he shows it in the books of poetry that are dedicated to her, and songs. They deffinatley where ment to be together. She was a very beautiful woman with a soft voice, her natural long red hair deffinatley caught the eyes of many and her voice sent shivers down many peoples spines. Her fashion and style is something special too. This post is dedicated to her, and I hope you enjoy the photos. Photos are from the use of Facebook pages.
